Down a pound this week. I had leveled off at 227 for a few weeks. I have lost 5 pounds since late January.

I struggle with portion control and grazing, my exercise has been consistent but controlling the food is not going too well.

This has been a long road.

Ever wonder why John Voight popped up at all those USA cycling events?

So, where to this Sunday? BBC, Portuguese, or ???

All that weight can be thought of as helping you build power, for now. Expect it to come off suddenly in late May. You won't be 160 anytime soon though. Not to worry, we'll need you on the flats in the wind anyway.

Good question, Mr. F.

I could go for the beeb. Better for hanging around. O Dinis has good food but not too central. This way we can go home and powder our noses before a late lunch.

You have seen my nose right? Even Boonen doesn't have that much powder.

Think of it as trying to give momentum to a locomotive, um.. by pulling on it with your teeth. It's hard to "get the ball rolling", it really is. Ask my wife. She's been working out 5-6 times a week and has seen disappointing results. (What she does not see is that she has transformed 2-4% of her body fat into toned muscle, she has strengthened her heart, increased mitochondrial density at the cellular level, and become just plain stronger and fitter..
You have to believe you will lose the weight, that's part of the problem. Don't feel defeated. What you're doing is winding up a spring, and all at once the flood gates will suddenly open, if you persist.

well you gotta persist w/o relief for at least 6 months or so... anything more than a month off sets you back to zero, or close to it...

consistency and lifestyle...

or do the drip method ;)
